Honey Bee – Bee Mine Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello, sweet friends and happy Tuesday!! Welcome to Day 2 of the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Mine Release Blog Hop!!! I hope that you were able to hop along for Day 1 yesterday!! We have even more inspiration using the new goodies from the Bee Mine Release today!!

You should have arrived here from the super talented Emily Midgett’s Blog. You can also start at the beginning on the Honey Bee Blog. Be sure to visit each stop on the hop (listed below) and comment along the way for your chance to win a $25 gift card to the Honey Bee Shop!!!

Let’s get to my projects!!

This first one combines several new products for this “Hogs and Kisses” card! I began by die-cutting my background panels from red & white cardstock using the Fluttering Hearts Coverplate and Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate Dies. I absolute LOVE these dies and want to use them on EVERYTHING!!! They layer up perfectly so that the pierced hearts show through the die-cut hearts and create the best textured background!! Oh, the possibilities!!

Next, I stamped the pig from Bad Influence (how cute is he?) with Fadeout ink, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with the Coordinating Honey Cut. I used the XOXO Honey Cuts to cut the “XOXO” from red and white cardstock and vellum. After layering and adhering them together, I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the top layer for some shine. “Hogs and Kisses”, also from Bad Influence, was white heat embossed onto red cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die.

The pig and ‘XOXO” were popped up onto the die-cut background with foam adhesive. I felt that the pig need a little something, so I white heat embossed one of the squares from the Valentine Patterns stamp set onto red cardstock, cut it out with a heart die included in the XOXO Honey Cuts and popped it up with foam tape. I added Crystal Glaze to the heart and a black glaze pen to the little piggy’s eyes for even more shine!!

I couldn’t wait to play with the new Treat Shop Add-On stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts and used them to create the cutest little ice cream parlor on my second card!!

I started out with the House Builder Die set to die-cut the cardbase and front of the building. I wanted the parlor to look more like a little house, so I also pulled some dies (the door and scalloped trim around the window and door) from the Gingerbread House Add-On set and the window frame and curtains from the original House Builder Dies.

I stamped the images from the Treat Shop Add-On set onto Bristol Smooth paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, colored them with watercolor markers and cut them out with theCoordinating Dies. The roof and awning were die-cut twice. I trimmed along the score lines and adhered them together to create the stripes. All of the elements were adhered as shown, popping up the bottom of the roof, sign and awning with foam tape. A few Hug Me Candy Hearts were added along the bottom of the scalloped roof.

Here is another project that I created as a sneak peek on the Honey Bee Blog last week. I provided links to the products used under the project.
