Hello crafters & card makers!! I hope you are ready for some amazing inspiration today!! Have you been enjoying The Ton’s Spring Release?? I have thoroughly enjoyed working with these products and can’t wait to ink up the ones I haven’t had a chance to use yet!!! The Ton has 14 new stamps, coordinating dies and 5 standalone dies for their new Spring 2018 Release which includes up to two free gifts with purchases (GWP). For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s Blog. New release products can be purchased now and all new release orders will begin to ship on Monday, April 9.

If you arrived from Justine Hovey’s Blog,  you are in the right place. There is also a complete list at the end of this post. I have three projects to share with you today!!

The first uses the Beautiful Bettas set:

I began by using alcohol inks on Yupo paper to create an underwater look. The background panel was then die-cut with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large). The first two layers of the fish were stamped in Beach Blondie and Coralline Inks, while the last layer was heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The seaweed was stamped with Deep Emerald Ink. Two of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large) were used to cut a frame for my underwater scene. The sentiment, also from Beautiful Bettas, was heat embossed in gold onto the frame. I fussy cut the fish and seaweed and used a Versamark Pen and gold embossing powder to add some detail to the seaweed. The frame, seaweed and fish bodies were adhered flat to the background panel, while the fins and tails of the fish were popped up with dimensional adhesive. A few Dew Drops made the perfect bubbles. Onyx Black Nuvo Drops add a little detail to the fish’s eyes.

My second card features the Large Dahlia 1, Large Dahlia 2 & Large Dahlia 3 sets…

The smaller of the two flowers from each of the Large Dahlia 1, Large Dahlia 2 & Large Dahlia 3 sets was stamped onto Bristol paper with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Rose Gold Embossing Powder, before watercoloring with Tombow markers. I fussy cut the flowers and leaves, although the coordinating dies are available for each set. Next, the outline of the flowers and leaves from the Wild Dahlias set was stamped onto white cardstock with Rose Quartz, Cali Blue, Lemon Drop and Soft Garden Inks. The fussy cut dahlias and leaves were arranged into a bouquet and adhered with foam adhesive. The sentiment, from Dahlia Bouquet, was stamped in Noir Ink onto a strip of pink cardstock. A few Glass Slippers Sequins add the perfect amount of shine.

Last, but certainly not least, my final card showcases the stunning Coming Up Dahlias set…

It is no secret that the Coming Up Daisies from a previous release is one of my favorites of all time. Well, the Coming Up Dahlias rates right up there too!! I hope Effie continues to create a “Coming Up’ series for future floral sets!! I wanted to try no-line coloring for this image, so I began stamping the dahlia in Frosted Vanilla Cupcake Ink. Copic markers were used to color the image, using colored pencils to add more detail. The sentiment, from Perfect Fit Sentiments, was heat embossed in silver. I added a strip of Silver Glitter Tape down the right edge of the card base, before adhering the floral panel. A sprinkling of Glass Slipper Sequins completes the card.

Next up on the hop is the amazing Svitlana Shayevich.  Here is a complete list of all of the stops on the hop…be sure to leave lots of love along with way to win some fabulous prizes!!!
