The Ton May Release

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a great week!!

The Ton has a new May Release!! There are some amazing new grouped stamps & dies!! Have you tried these yet?!? So addicting…once I start stamping with these, I just can’t stop!! They are so easy to line up!! Plus, there are tons of new nested shape dies and coverplate dies in squares, rectangles, ovals and circles. (See The Ton’s Blog for shipping dates.)

We have s short blog hop with tons of inspiration!! You should have arrived here from TaeEun’s Blog. Your’e next stop is Vera Yates.

I’m trying to build up my birthday card stash (again…it seems to be a never ending battle), so I have a couple of birthday cards to share today!

The first combines two new rose layering stamp sets…Large Florals: Rose and Rose Patch!!

I began by stamping the Large Florals: Rose and Rose Patch roses with the Peony, Amethyst and Sky Blue Collections; then the leaves from those sets and Bountiful Leaves with the Crystal Garden Collection. I used the Large Florals: Rose, Rose Patch and Bountiful Leaves Coordinating Dies to cut out the stamped images.

For the background, I die-cut white cardstock with the Geometric Circles Coverplate Dies and adhered it to a top-folding white cardbase. I also die-cut an oval from white cardstock with the Double Stitched Oval Coverplate Dies and adhered it with foam tape. The rose and leaves die-cuts were also adhered with foam adhesive. I stamped the Easy Expressions stamp set with Iris Blooms and Noir Ink, cut them out with the Coordinating Die and adhered the birthday greeting to the bottom right.

My second card is monochromatic with touches of silver…

I stamped the Rose Patch and Bountiful Leaves images with the Ruby & Crystal Garden Collections, then cut them out with the Rose Patch & Bountiful Leaves Coordinating Dies. I cut two panels using the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Nested Dies…one from white and one from pink cardstock. I white heat embossed the Mini Dots Cling Background stamp onto the pink panel, then adhered the white panel to it.

The Rectangle A2 Frames Slim Borders Coverplate Die was cut from some frosted silver cardstock and one of those was adhered to the white panel. The blooms and leaves were arranged and adhered with foam adhesive. For the greeting, the Easy Expressions stamp was stamped with Red Sangria Ink and silver heat embossed. After cutting them out with the Coordinating Die, the birthday sentiment was adhered with more foam tape.

A sprinkling of Glass Slipper Sequins finishes off the card!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great day!!!
