The Ton July Challenge

Holy cow!! How is it July 1st already? Half of the year is gone…yikes!!

The first day of the month always brings a new challenge over at The Ton’s Challenge Blog & do we have some inspiration for you today!!!

Oh my goodness!! I didn’t know where to start!! Here’s what I ended up with…

My eye automatically goes to the flowers, of course!! I started by stamping the vase from Anemone Bouquet and the Summer Blooms stamp onto Bristol cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Princess Gold Embossing Powder. The gold glittered donuts inspired the gold embossing. The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in colors from the inspiration photo and then die-cut with the Anemone Bouquet Coordinating Dies and Summer Blooms Coordinating Dies. I also used the same dies to cut some white fun foam to adhere behind the images for dimension. I loved the ocean image and used that as inspiration to create my background. Distress Oxide inks were blended to create a blended background, but it was a little too bold for me. So I cut the blended panel and a piece of vellum with the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Small) to place over it and soften it a bit. The images with the fun foam were adhered over the vellum. I also heat embossed the sentiment from Penned Sentiments onto a strip of vellum with Princess Gold Embossing Powder and cut it into a banner. I was inspired by the first image to place Glass Slippers Confetti Mix onto the front in the shape of a heart.

So many ideas swimming around in my head!! It is a beautiful mood board, isn’t it??? Let’s see what you create!! You have all month to play along and enter to win a $50 gift code to shop at The Ton!!!
