There’s also a little surprise for today since it is World Cardmaking Day. Head over to The Ton’s blog for more details.

If you arrived here from Kymona Tracey’s Blog, you are on the right track. I also have a complete list later in this post.

I have two cards to share with you today!! One for the upcoming Holiday season and a thank you card. You know that I had to ink up and color the stunning florals first…lol!!!

Let’s get to the thank you card first…

I absolutely love gardenias, especially the smell of them. I actually had gardenia scented candles on all of the tables at my wedding, so their scent always brings back very special memories for me. To begin, I stamped the Gardenia Wishes bouquet onto white cardstock, using Crystal Pewter Ink. I used second generation stamping to ensure that the image outline was nice and light, so I could do some no-line coloring with Copic markers. I also added some details in with colored pencils, before fussy cutting the bouquet. There is also a Coordinating Die available. I don’t have it yet, but it is definitely on my wish list. The sentiment, also from Gardenia Wishes, was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white onto a strip of gray cardstock. The bouquet and sentiment strip were both adhered with foam tape onto yellow cardstock, which was then matted with a panel of gray cardstock. I added some water droplets to the gardenias using Morning Dew Nuvo Drops. A little Clear Wink of Stellaadded to the highlights of the flowers and a sprinkling of Glass Slipper Round Confetti Mix add some sparkle and shine.

Now, for my holiday card. You know how I am totally giddy for the Coming Up series that Effie has designed. Well, now there is a Coming Up Poinsettias to add to the collection!!

Fro this one, I stamped the Coming Up Poinsettias image with Caviar Ink onto white cardstock. I colored the bouquet with Copics and added colored pencil details, before fussy cutting. Again, there is a Coordinating Die available and it is at the top of my wish list. The sentiment is from Blizzard Hugs (a stunning snowflake set that I can’t wait to use) and was white heat embossed onto a panel of black cardstock. The panel was trimmed slightly and matted with red cardstock. The entire poinsettia bouquet was popped up with dimensional adhesive. Next, I splattered on some white paint mixed with a little water. Some gold glitter stickles were added to the flower centers and a few Medallion Gold Sequins were placed around the bouquet. I love the contrast in this card!!
