The Ton – June 2020 Release

Hello and welcome to The Ton’s June 2020 Release!! There is one new grouped layering stamp set and eight stand-alone dies!!! Everything is available to ship NOW!!!!

If you arrived here from Vera’s Blog, you’re on the right track. Your next stop, as well as a complete list, is later in this post!!

I have three cards to share with you today!!! Two of them feature new butterfly coverplate dies and the other is a new grouped layering stamp & die set!! I guess I was feeling bright and colorful, because I used complementary colors on my first two cards…lol!!

Let’s get started!!

The first butterfly is created with the Swallowtail Butterfly Coverplate Die!! I die-cut the coverplate from black cardstock and the solid layer of the Swallowtail Butterfly Layering Dies from Bristol smooth cardstock.

I ink-blended Grape Crush, Azurite and Parisian Blue Inks onto the large butterfly and spritzed it with shimmer spray. Once dry, I adhered it behind the black die-cut and trimmed off the excess, then adhered it to a panel of orange cardstock.

I die-cut the birthday greeting from purple glitter paper and heavyweight vellum using the Many Sentiments Dies. A few Dew Drop Clear Enamel Drops finish off the card!!

The next card was created exactly the same way, only with different colors for the Monarch…

I die-cut the Monarch Butterfly Coverplate Die from black cardstock and the solid layer of the Monarch Butterfly Layering Die from Bristol smooth cardstock.

This time, Valentine Red, Coralline and Lemon Drop Inks were blended onto the solid butterfly before spritzing with shimmer spray.

The Many Sentiments Dies were used to cut “sending hugs” from some orange glitter paper and vellum. Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots were added for the finishing touch!!

Last, but certainly not least, is a new addition to the Grouped Layering Sets…poppies!! (You know my love for these Grouped Layering Sets runs DEEP!!)

I began by stamping the poppies in the Poppy Wishes stamp set with Soft Garnet, Red Sangria, Lipstick Red and Noir Inks. The leaves were stamped with the Crystal Garden Collection, as were the leaves in the Bountiful Leaves stamp set. I cut them out with the Poppy Wishes and Bountiful Leaves Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I stamped the Minor Stripes Cling Background stamp onto white cardstock with Noir Ink. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to red cardstock, then a panel of black cardstock.

The second largest of the Double Stitched Oval Nested Dies was cut from red cardstock and the Oval Frames Slim Borders Coverplate was cut from white cardstock. I adhered two of the thin frames to the oval die cut and popped the oval up on the striped background with foam tape. The poppies and leaves were adhered to the lower, left side of the oval.

The Easy Expressions Birthday stamp set was stamped with Red Sangria and Noir Ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The sentiment was also popped up with foam adhesive and some Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots were added for a little shine!!

OK…that’s it for me today. Your next stop on the hop is the super talented TaeEun!!
