Spellbinders New Collections Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Today I am participating in a blog hop hosted by Spellbinders featuring the new Glimmer Hot Foil System!! I am sure that you have seen how amazing this machine is by now!! I am incredibly honored to be included in this hop with some super talented artists!! There is tons of inspiration, so let’s get to it!!

If you arrived here from Tina Smith’s Blog you’re on the right track. Next up is Janette Kausen. There is also a complete list at the bottom of this post.

I have two projects to share with you today. The first features my favorite of the Glimmer Plates, the Warm Winter Wishes Holiday Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

I love the look of foil on kraft cardstock!! The foil is beautiful in person, but really hard to capture in a photo. I just kept the card really simple. I heat embossed some white snowflakes onto teal cardstock. After foiling the snowman onto the kraft cardstock with Teal Foil, I ink blended some white pigment ink around the outside of the panel. The foiled panel was matted with white cardstock and adhered with dimensional adhesive. A polka-dot bow was adhered at the top and White Gloss Nuvo Drops were dotted in the center of each snowflake and around the snowman.

This photo shows off all the glorious shine…

My second card uses the Joy Holiday Glimmer Foil Plate.

See, I told you I like the foil on kraft!! After foiling the Joy Holiday Glimmer Foil Plate with Matte Gold Foil on kraft cardstock, I trimmed it down and matted it onto red cardstock. A panel of gold diagonal striped patterned paper was also matted in red and adhered to a white top-folding note card. Red ribbon and a bow was added before adhering the foiled panel with dimensional adhesive. A sprinkling of Tree Trimmings Specialty Shaker Embellishment Mix finished off the card nicely.
