Spellbinders March Card Kit of the Month

Good morning!! I have a few cards to share with you today using the March Card Kit of the Month, Feeling Hoppy, from Spellbinders!!

This kit is sooooo much fun to work with!!!! I know I’ve covered this before, but I’ll go over my process again. I absolutely love mixing patterned papers, especially when they coordinate as well as the paper pads do that come in the kits!! The first thing I do is pull out my favorite patterned papers and match the ones up that coordinate. I make separate little piles and then go through the pre-printed die-cuts, stickers, etc. and add the ones that I want to use to the piles. (I always have WAY more than I can use in each pile…ha!) Then I stamp & die-cut the images that I want to use and start assembling.

Here is my first card…

I had stamped the bunnies and was in the middle of coloring them white, when I had the idea to color them as chocolate bunnies!! So, I stamped them again onto white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.

Some of the stickers were a perfect match for my chocolate bunnies!! I simply added some pre-printed die-cuts and stickers to a sheet of patterned paper, popping some of the elements up with foam tape.

A few gemstones completes the card!!

My second, and probably my favorite…

There are some beautiful florals and butterflies included this month!!

I paired up a couple of sheets of patterned paper (I’m a sucker for anything buffalo plaid, gingham and checks!), adding a strip of metallic cardstock between the two.

I added several pre-printed die-cuts, popping some of them up with foam adhesive. A trio of gems finishes off the cards nicely!!

My third card …

I wanted to use the bunnies that I had already colored white, so I just combined some die-cuts and stickers with them.

I adhered all of these elements flat to the card, but you could pop any of them up with foam tape. (The kits comes with plenty of both types of adhesive.)

I love how the gold accents pull everything together!!

For my fourth card, I used the dies that are included in the kit…

I die-cut the frame from gold metallic cardstock and the flowers and stems from all the included colored cardstock.

I adhered a pre-printed die-cut bunny and the die-cut flowers in the frame and layered them onto a bunny patterned paper.

The Happy Easter banner was popped up with foam squares and a few gemstones were the finishing touch!!

OK, one more…

When I stamped the bunnies, I stamped and colored all of the other images in the stamp set too. I knew I needed to make another card when I saw this sticker, it reads “you crack me up”!!

I kept this one really simple by adding the sticker (I did mat it with cardstock to give it a little more “weight”), fussy cut images and a pre-printed die-cut floral.

I couldn’t resist adding a few gemstones for a little bling!!
