Spellbinders July Card Kit of the Month

Hello everyone!! It’s the first day of a new month and you know what that means…a new Card Kit of the Month from Spellbinders!! This is definitely one that you don’t want to miss out on!! I think it’s my favorite kit yet!! It’s MERMAZING!!!

I just love all the mermaid supplies for summer and this kit has plenty to choose from…from pre-printed die-cut shapes, stamps and THE CUTEST dies to create your own mermaid!! I LOVE that the kits come with everything you need to make AT LEAST 10 cards!! I have three to share with you today!!

I had so much fun playing with all of the different elements in the kit!! The first card I made with a combination of patterned paper, die-cut shapes and foam stickers.

This card came together so quickly!! Spellbinders makes it so simple to put together beautiful cards! Everything coordinates so well!

I simply trimmed a piece of patterned paper to slightly smaller than an A2 size, and matted it with blue cardstock. I adhered some seaweed and coral die-cuts to the background. The mermaid was popped up with foam adhesive.

Foam stickers were added for the greeting and the cute hashtag. A few glitter dots were sprinkled on for a little bling. I did add a little accent to her eyes with a black glaze and white gel pen.

My next card was created pretty much the same way…

I began with the mermaid scale patterned paper from the Shellebrate paper pad. The foil on these papers is incredible!!

I added some water splashes from the Die-Cut Shapes and adhered the mermaids from the same pack over them with foam adhesive. I added a couple of foam stickers and a white glitter foam sticker.

The foam glitter hearts are also from the Shellabrate Glitter Foam Sticker Pack. A black glaze and white gel pen were used on the mermaid’s eyes.

I saved the best for last!! I absolutely ADORE the way this card turned out!!

July-CKOTM---WM8

How adorable is that mermaid? I couldn’t decide which colors to make my mermaid, so I turned to the Shellebrate Paper Pad and pulled out one of my favorite papers. It was easy to come up with a color scheme then!

July-CKOTM---WM9

I trimmed the patterned paper down slightly and adhered it to a purple cardstock panel. I die-cut all of the pieces of the mermaid from the cardstock included in the kit. (The silver foil paper is so much fun!) I adhered all of the bits and pieces together and popped her up with foam tape in the middle of my background panel.

I white heat embossed “you are” onto blue cardstock and fussy cut it out. I added a few die-cuts from the Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes, popping some of them up with foam adhesive. Finally, I added a little color to her eyes with a blue and white gel pen.

It’s so hard to capture all of the shine and sparkle from the paper and stickers!! Trust me, they are stunning!!

You can get your own kit HERE!! Better hurry though…I have a feeling this one is going to go quick!! You can also purchase many of the items separately!! I have them listed below for your convenience.
