Let’s Flamingle A7 Card – Scrappy Tails Crafts

Hello, crafty friends!! I have a mostly die-cut card to share with you showcasing some of the new goodies from the Tropical Bliss Collection from Scrappy Tails Crafts!! How fabulous are these flamingo dies?!?

I began by die-cutting the large flamingos in the Flamingo Pair Die Set from coral cardstock and all of the feathers, beaks, highlights and parts around the eyes from blush. The end of the beaks and pupils were cut from black and the whites of the eyes from white cardstock.

Once I had all of the die-cutting finished, I added some shading to the body and feathers with Copic markers. You don’t need to do this, but you know I love to color…even on die-cuts! Plus, I think it really adds a lot of dimension and details to the flamingos!

Next, I die-cut the A7 Aloha Tropical Leaf Cover Plate Die from dark teal cardstock. I absolutely LOVE this die!! Don’t be surprised to see it on most of my tropical cards in the upcoming weeks!! It was adhered to an A7 panel of aqua cardstock, then a white A7 card base. The flamingos were adhered to the background, popping the bodies up with foam tape and adhering the legs with liquid adhesive.

The sentiment, from the Tropical Birds Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered with foam tape. The tiny flowers are also from the A7 Aloha Tropical Leaf Cover Plate Die. They were cut from blush cardstock, shaded with Copics and the stamen were added to the centers with a white gel pen.

I am tickled pink (ha!) with how this turned out!! These dies are absolutely amazing, as is the rest of the Tropical Bliss Collection!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day and I’ll see you soon!!
