If Friends Were Sunflowers – Scrappy Tails

Hello, fellow card makers and happy Sunday!! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!!

I have a card to share with you featuring the latest Harvest Blessings Release from Scrappy Tails Crafts!! This release is full of so much autumn and Halloween goodness, but I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Layering Sunflower Dies!!

I love coloring die-cuts!! It adds so much dimension, in my opinion!! I die-cut the Layering Sunflower Dies from yellow, brown and green cardstock. For the sunflower petal layers, I cut the top layer twice for each sunflower. I added dimension with Copic markers and some detail to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen, then adhered the flowers together with liquid adhesive, being sure to rotate the top two layers in different positions.

I trimmed a piece of deep red polka-dot patterned paper from the Harvest Blessings Paper Pad slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to a panel of ivory cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base. The sunflowers and leaves were arranged and adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Wild Sunflowers Stamp Set, was stamped onto yellow cardstock with Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up on the front of the card with foam adhesive and this card was finished!!

I love the way this turned out!! Have you ever colored your die-cuts to add dimension? If so, what is your favorite medium to use?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I’ll see you soon!!
