Honey Bee Stamps & Wow Embossing Blog Hop

Hi Crafting Friends, welcome to a very special Blog Hop collaboration with the WOW! Embossing Powder & Honeybee Stamps.

The best part of having a blog hop is meeting, sharing and inspiring one another in this beautiful crafting community. We feel so blessed to have our path’s cross with each other and we all hope this collaboration inspires everyone.

If you are hopping along, you should have arrived here from Bibi Cameron’s Blog.

If you get lost along the way, head back over to the Honeybee Stamps or WOW! Embossing Powder blog for the complete list of designers joining in the hop.

I have two cards to share with you today!! June is the month for weddings, so I decided to create these for a couple of weddings that I have coming up.

White, black & clear are usually my go-to colors for heat embossing. I really enjoyed stepping out of my box and using some colored embossing powders.

I began by heat embossing the flowers from Spring Blossoms with Primary Pink Lady and the leaves with Colour Blend Verdigris. WOW! embossing powders melt so smooth and shiny…they are a dream to work with!! All the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then die-cut with the Spring Blossoms Honey Cuts. The top layer of the Mr & Mrs Honey Cuts were cut from pink cardstock, then coated with Versamark and Primary Pink Lady embossing powder. I repeated the Versamark & embossing powder three times to build some dimension on the die-cuts. The bottom layer of Mr & Mrs was cut from vellum. After figuring out the placement of my flowers, the remainder of the sentiment, from the Mr & Mrs stamp set, was stamped directly onto the background panel with Versamark Ink. It was also sprinkled with the Primary Pink Lady powder and melted thoroughly. All of the elements were adhered as shown. A yellow gel pen adds some color to the stamen of the flowers. Lastly, Red Berry Nuvo Drops (the perfect match to the Primary Pink Lady Embossing Powder) add a little extra color and dimension around the flowers and sentiment.
I was embossing some images to color for The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge and used the Metallic Platinum Powder to heat emboss some images. I LOVE this color!! I thought it would be beautiful for a wedding card.
Basically, I used the same steps as above. I chose to emboss the flower and leaves from the Spring Blossoms set with the Metallic Platinum Powders onto some specialty shimmer vellum. The base of the card is kraft cardstock. I also used Bright White Detail Embossing Powder for the sentiment. Gloss Simply White Nuvo Drops were used as the finishing touch on this card.
