Honey Bee Stamps Spring Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello Honey Bee friends!! Welcome to Day 2 of the Honey Bee Spring Release Blog Hop!! I am delighted to be joining some very talented design team members and special guests for Honey Bee’s largest release ever!!! All products are available NOW in the Honey Bee Shop!!! You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Bibiana Cameron!!! There is also a complete list at the bottom of this post.

I actually have four cards to share today!! This entire release is totally adorable, however, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the Spring Blossoms set!! I absolutely LOVE coloring flowers, so I couldn’t wait to ink up these beautiful blossoms!!! Let’s get on to my cards…

I began by stamping several of the blooms and leaves from the Spring Blossoms set onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I didn’t have a plan for my cards yet, I just wanted to get started coloring the blossoms, so I stamped them several times. The images were colored with Copic markers, with additional details added with colored pencils. The Spring Blossoms Coordinating Honey Cuts were used to cut out all the images. I pulled out some matching colored cardstock and patterned paper from my stash. I wanted to use the new Stitched Shape Dies to cut a shaped edge along the edge of my solid cardstock panels. For the Mother’s Day cards, the Stitched Scallop Circles Honey Cuts were used. For the Friends cards, I used the Double Stitched Squares Honey Cuts. I layered the cardstock over the coordinating patterned paper, then played around with the arrangement of my flowers and leaves. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I used Press ‘N Seal to pick up the entire arrangement. This allowed me to add foam adhesive to the entire arrangement before placing it onto the cardstock. For the Mother’s Day cards, the Best Parents stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts were used. The “HAPPY” and “DAY” were stamped with Versamark Ink onto strips of black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Both the die-cut and black strips were adhered with foam adhesive. For the Friends card, I used a sentiment from the Love Bug stamp set. It was stamped directly onto the patterned paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Finally, for the purple & blue cards, Aurora Lights Confetti Mix was added; while Moonlight Rhinestones were added to the pink and yellow cards. Here are some individual shots of each…beginning with the Mother’s Day cards…
