Christmas Tree Mini Slimline – Scrappy Tails

Hello, friends and Happy Halloween!! I hope you have some fun & festive plans today!!

I have a card to share with you today using some new goodies from Scrappy Tails Crafts!! Although this Slimline Christmas Tree is an add-on for the Snow Globe Pop-up Die Set, it makes a beautiful mini slimline card!!!

I began with die-cutting all of the layers of the Slimline Christmas Tree. I die-cut the top detailed layer from green cardstock and blended some Rustic Wildness Distress Oxide Ink onto the edges. The solid tree shape was cut from red glitter cardstock and adhered behind the green layer. I die-cut the top layer once more from gold glitter cardstock, then inlaid the garland into the negative areas on the tree. I also trimmed off the star and added it to the top. The gifts were die-cut from red cardstock and the bows from gold glitter paper.

For the background, I began with a 3.5 x 6.5 panel of blue cardstock. I blended on Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. I trimmed a snow bank from white glitter cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the background panel. The tree and gifts were adhered under the tree, then I splattered the entire panel with lots of diluted white gouache. Lastly, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Russian Winter Village Stamp Set onto red cardstock, fussy cut it out, then popped it up with foam adhesive.

I really love how this turned out!! Be sure to check out the rest of the newest release from Scrappy Tails Crafts!! The pop-up die sets are so innovative and unique!!

Thanks for dropping by today!! Have a fun and safe Halloween!!
