The Ton November Release Day 1

Hello!! The Ton has a new November release and the design team is celebrating with a 2-day blog hop. There is also a HUGE 3-day Instagram Hop on Saturday – Monday with several guest designers!!

A couple of details: Everything will be available for purchase on November 8th at 10am EST. New release orders will begin to ship on November 15th.

If you arrived here from Anna’s Blog, you are on the right track. You can also start on The Ton’s Blog.

The card that I am sharing today pairs the awesome Winter Chickadee and Chickadee Greetings (free gift with purchase) layering stamp sets…

I began by stamping the chickadees with Crystal Pewter, Smoky Quartz, Light Onyx and Warm Hazelnut inks, then fussy cut them out. There are cut files available for many of the sets, but my Silhouette is a dust collector, so I cut them by hand. I stamped the branches and berries with Spiced Chai, Dark Roast, Soft Garnet and Lipstick Red.

I decided that I wanted to add a little color to my background, so I added some Cali Blue ink with a blending brush. The sentiment is also from Winter Chickadee and was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and trimmed into a rectangle. The chickadees and sentiment block were popped up with foam adhesive. I added Crystal Glaze to the berries and a black glaze pen to the chickadee’s eyes for some shine!!

I am the last stop on the hop today!! You can always start at the beginning on The Ton’s Blog!! Here is a complete list of stops…

  5. Brenda dear, I love your card. I especially love the glaze on the berries and the eyes of the birds and how you combined both the Winter Chickadee and Chickadee Greetings to create card. Those stamps are so versatile, I can already picture other ways I can use them for non christmas cards.
I also love that red trim but I do have a question on it: was that a red panel adhered to a white card base or is the card base red? Looking forward to your answer and thanks so much for sharing your wonderful creation with us.
    Sincerely,

    Your biggest fan.
