Hello & welcome to the Spellbinders New Collections Blog Hop!! I’m so happy that you’re here!! There are so many talented artists on this hop!! We are highlighting some of the new collections from Spellbinders!!

If you arrived here from Anna Komenda’s blog, you’re on the right track!! There is also a complete list at the end of this post. Information for a giveaway is also down below!!

Today, I am working with a Great, Big, Wonderful World Collection from Sharyn Sowell!! Wow!! These dies do all of the work for you!! They are so detailed and intricate, that they pretty much stand on their own!

Here is my first card…

Sweet-Letters1

I just love this image with the little puppy!! So sweet!! I began by die-cutting the Sweet Letters by Sharyn Sowell from black cardstock. I ink-blended Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet & Salty Ocean Distress Oxides onto Bristol smooth cardstock to create a sunset background. The sentiment is from Altenew’s Heartfelt Sentiments set. It was white heat embossed onto the bottom of the die cut. The die-cut was adhered onto the background panel with tiny pieces of foam adhesive. A small white clay heart from Honey Bee was the perfect finishing touch!

Here is my second card…

Peaceful-Garden1

I’m telling you, these dies are just darling!! This time I used the Peaceful Garden by Sharyn Sowell. Instead of using foam adhesive, I die-cut the image five times from white cardstock and adhered them on top of each other to create dimension. I chose a playful polka dot patterened paper for the background. I thought the sentiment, from WPlus 9’s Modern Anemones set, was appropriate since they are in a garden. It was stamped with Staz-On Dove Gray ink onto a white cardstock strip and adhered with foam adhesive.

I had so much fun using these beautiful dies and can’t wait to create more cards using them!!
