Good morning!!! Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for Honey Bee’s 4th BEEday!! This release is full of so much good stuff!! From florals to critters…there is literally something for everyone!!

I have two cards to share today that were created with the new Fluttering By stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cut Dies!! These butterflies are absolutely stunning!! I am in LOVE!!

I started with my backgrounds…I knew that I would have better luck matching my marker colors to the alcohol inks instead of the other way around.

I used Ranger Alcohol Inks in Sailboat Blue, Amethyst, Wild Plum and Butterscotch on Yupo paper. I can’t wait to make more of these backgrounds!!

I  white heat embossed the butterflies from Fluttering By onto Bristol paper and watercolored them with Tombow markers to match the backgrounds. The sentiments were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and then the butterflies and sentiments were cut out using the Coordinating Honey Cuts. I LOVE that there are dies included that cut out the sentiments!! (I did fussy cut the “I’m thinking of you” sentiment though.)

At this point, I wanted the antennae to stand out more, so I added a black gel pen. DON’T DO THIS!!! The pen never dried and ended up smudging on my beautiful butterflies…ugh!! So, I saved them by trimming off the antennae and drawing them directly onto the background panel with a permanent marker.

The sentiments and butterflies were all popped up with foam adhesive.

The first card is a 5″ x 7″ panel of Yupo that I trimmed down. The second is the same size panel that I cut in half.
