Wishing You A Bright Holiday – Honey Bee

Happy Honey Bee Tuesday, fellow crafters!! I wanted to combine a sweet bird & sentiment from one of the new releases with a previously released die & this idea popped into my head right away!! I love these cutie-patootie birds from the Season’s Tweetings set & decided to draw a pair of sunglasses on the bird to fit in with the bright, rainbow background & die-cut sentiment. I began by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow order onto a background panel of Bristol cardstock, spritzing with water and blotting dry with a paper towel for added interest. Once dry, I used the A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cuts Die to cut the panel slightly smaller. It was then matted with a piece of black cardstock and silver glitter paper, before adhering to a top-folding note card. I stamped one of the birds from the Season’s Tweetings set with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink & fussy cut it out. (Coordinating dies are available here.) I then sketched on the sunglasses and traced over them with a Copic Multi-Liner. The bird was then colored with Copic markers. The top two dies from the Bright Honey Cuts Die were cut from black cardstock and silver glitter paper. I cut the “Wishing You A’ so I could stack it within the die, then stamped the sentiment (also from Season’s Tweetings) with Versafine Onxy Black Ink. The Bright die-cut & bird were adhered foam adhesive, then I used some Clear Wink of Stella on the sunglasses. Some Unicorn Rhinestones were the finishing touch!!Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Here’s wishing you a bright & happy week!!!
