Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star – Honey Bee

Hello all!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!! The Honey Bee Spring Release Sneak Peeks continue today and run through Monday. Isn’t this release amazing? There is also a HUGE blog hop scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday!!! (Links for new release items will not be live until Monday, 4/30 at 11:59 pm CST.)

My sneak peek today features the Heaven Sent stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts

I have wanted to create a galaxy background for a while now, and when I saw the “Twinkle, twinkle little star do you know how loved you are?” sentiment from the Heaven Sent stamp set, I knew now was the time!! There are plenty of awesome video tutorials on the web that can show you how to do this much better than I can explain it in writing. However, I will tell you what I used to make my galaxy. I ink blended Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber & Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks onto white cardstock. Black Soot Distress Oxide was used over the top of the colors, in layers. Perfect Pearls, watered-down white paint and Clear Wink of Stella were splattered onto the background. Once dry, the galaxy panel was cut using the A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cut Dies, as was a piece of vellum. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto the center of the vellum, adding stars in opposite corners. The clouds and moon were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, then cut using the Heaven Sent Honey Cuts. Clear Wink of Stella was used to add some shine to the moon, clouds and stars. The clouds and moon were adhered onto the vellum with foam adhesive. This also gave me a place to hide some adhesive behind the vellum panel. Finally, I found some tiny blue stars in the Celebration Mix that were the perfect finishing touch!!!

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today!! Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Blog for more Sneak Peeks!!!

I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 4!!!
