The Ton’s October Release Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone!!! Welcome to The Ton’s October Release Blog Hop!! Boy, are you in for a treat today!! The Ton released some fabulous floral stamps designed by Effie & Eunji earlier this month & this hop is filled with wonderful inspiration from the design team. The best part? These sets are all available NOW at The Ton’s Shop!!! See below for a special code for free shipping!!!

You should have arrived here from the incredibly talented Janette Kausen. There is a complete list at the bottom, should you get lost along the way. I have three cards to share with you today!!

My first card features the Tulip Bouquet set.

I wanted to do some no-line coloring on this beautiful set, so I started by stamping the florals onto the lower left corner with distress ink. The image was colored with Copic markers, adding some details with colored pencils. The sentiment is also from Tulip Bouquet and was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. A strip of purple cardstock and Silver Glitter Tape was adhered to the right side of the card base; then the main panel was popped up with some fun foam on top for added dimension. A few Glass Slippers Round Confetti Mix completed the card.

The next card was made using the Thankful Chrysanthemum set…

This flower is a delight to color!!! I began by stamping the largest image onto Bristol paper with Versamark and heat embossing with The Ton’s exclusive Rose Gold Embossing Powder. The floral was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, before fussy cutting. The Coordinating Die is available, but I don’t have it, so it was simple enough to cut out. Next, I used some Yupo paper and alcohol inks to create the background. Once it was dry, I used the Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Large) to cut a panel, then heat embossed the “Hello” (also from Thankful Chrysanthemum) with rose gold embossing powder. The Minor Stripes Cling Background Stamp was stamped directly on the card base and embossed with rose gold powder. The floral was adhered with foam adhesive, as was the small inked panel, for lot of dimension. A sprinkling of Spring Fawn Couture Mix Sequins finished off the card.

I needed a wedding card last weekend & did not have one in my stash, so I thought I’d better make that a priority. I used the Country Rose Cluster set for the final card…

I stamped the floral toward the top of a panel of Bristol paper and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The image was colored with light tones of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The Minor Stripes Background Cling stamp was stamped onto some pink cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder, then cut into a strip on the diagonal. The “Best Wishes” is from Occasion Confetti and was stamped with Noir ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, for some shine. Glass Slippers Round Confetti Mix added a just the right amount of sparkle to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Now it’s time to get hoppin!!! Up next is the oh-so-talented Tae Eun!! Make sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice from the new release!!
