The Ton’s 3rd Anniversary Release – Blog Hop

Happy Saturday!! The celebration continues for The Ton’s Third Anniversary Release!!! I hope you have been hopping along and enjoying all of the inspiration!! There have been so many amazing products revealed this week and they are all available in the shop NOW!!! Effie has really outdone herself on this release!!! Have you placed your order? What is your favorite from the new release?

I am the second of four stops on the hop today. You should have arrived here from The Ton’s Blog. The next stop will be the adorable Amy Kolling!! All the links are also listed at the bottom, so let’s get to my projects!!

I have three cards to share with you today!! Two of them feature daisies!! One of my favorite flowers, so I am in heaven with this release!! The first card combines the Buildable Woodgrain (how innovative is this stamp??!!) with the Fresh Cut Daisies Coordinating Outlines:

Here’s what I put together:

I began by stamping the lines from the Buildable Woodgrain with Found Topaz Dye Ink onto a Panel of kraft cardstock, then used Warm Hazelnut Dye Ink to add in the details. I stamped the Fresh Cut Daisies Coordinating Outline images with Caviar Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I added some additional details with colored pencils, Black Nuvo Drops and a yellow gel pen. I fussy cut the images, but the Coordinating Dies are available. Next, the sentiment, from Seriously Amazing was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I love the way this looks “distressed” on the kraft cardstock!! I drew the stems onto the jar with a green marker, then adhered the jar and flowers all together. Then I used foam adhesive to adhere them as one piece above the sentiment. I trimmed the kraft panel slightly, leaving a border at the top when adhered to the white card base. A few sequins and small hearts from the Pink Blossoms Couture Mix finished off the card nicely!!My second card is created with Coming Up Daisies!! If you’ve been following along this week, you know that this is one of my favorite stamps of the release.

Can you see why I love it so much? I started out by stamping the Coming Up Daisies with Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I used Arteza watercolor markers and a water brush to color the beautiful daisies. Next, I used a Versamarker Pen over the entire image, sprinkled with sticky embossing powder and heat set it. Then I sprinkled clear, fine glitter onto the image and heat set it again. This created the most beautiful sparkle over the entire image!! Now I want to sparkle ALL THE THINGS!! Next, the Hello Word Die was used to cut Hello from white cardstock 5 times and blue cardstock once. I adhered all of these together for lots of dimension. Then I used the same technique that I used on the flowers to coat it in fine glitter. “Just A Note” is also from the Coming Up Daisies set, and was stamped with Crystal Pewter Ink, before the “hello” die was adhered under it. A few sequins from the Mint Sugar Couture Mix and the card was finished!!! I wish you could see all the shimmer and shine!!

Last, but certainly not least, I used a combination one of the dies from the Bold General Greeting Word Plate Dies and the Painted Peonies and Coordinating Dies.

Let’s take a look…

I love these new word plate dies!! So many creative ideas are running through my head!! I began by die-cutting the “hello'” from the Bold General Greeting Word Plate Dies several times from a panel of white cardstock. Make sure you save the center parts of the e & o…we will be gluing them on later. Next, I used two of the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large) to cut a frame for the front of the card. I adhered the frame to the die-cut card base, then adhered a piece of acetate onto the back of that. I glued the centers of the e’s & o’s directly to the acetate, to complete the letters. I stamped the leaves from Painted Peonies with Soft Garden and Bright Fern Dye Inks. The peonies were stamped with Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star Dye Inks and Red Sangria Hybrid Ink, before die-cutting with the Coordinating Die. A combination of Pink Blossoms, Sakura Petals and Pink Bokeh Couture Mixes was placed in the center of the white card base. Dimensional foam adhesive was added to the back of the front panel, then it was adhered to the card base. The die-cut peonies were added to the front of the card with foam adhesive and accented with a clear Wink of Stella marker. A few sequins were placed onto the outside of the card for the finishing touch!!
