The Ton Spring 2017 Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! I so appreciate you taking the time to stop by for The Ton blog hop today!! You should have arrived here from the fantastic The Ton blog!!!

You are in for a treat!!! Sunflowers & peonies & wildflowers…oh my!!! I am in heaven!!! So many lovely florals in this release, then add in some perfume, labels, jewelry & chandeliers and you have one AMAZING release!!!!

For my first card today, I used the Fresh Cut Sunflowers Stamp & Coordinating Dies. These layered stamps are so easy to line up & result in very realistic images!!!  I stamped the sunflower images with Lemon Drop, Bleach Blondie, Amber Citrine, Found Topaz, Aspen Cocoa, & Dark Roast Couture Dye inks. The leaves and stems were stamped with Soft Garden, Bright Fern & Basil Mojito Couture Dye Inks. I used a very sharp brown colored pencil and yellow gel pen to add in just a few more details. I cut all the images from the Coordinating Dies. The sentiment was stamped & embossed with white embossing powder onto blue cardstock, then die cut with the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large). I arranged the sunflowers & leaves around the sentiment, using foam adhesive on some of the flowers and some bright yellow fun foam behind a couple of the sunflowers, which is a cute surprise when you look at the card from the side.

My second card features the Dearest Peony & Coordinating Die. I wanted to try some no-line coloring with this beautiful image. The peony was stamped with some distress ink onto white cardstock, colored with copic markers and polchromos colored pencils. It was then die cut with the Dearest Peony Coordinating Die along with some fun foam (I need to buy stock in this stuff!!). I cut multiple words from heavyweight white cardstock using the Hello Word Die. I placed the die cut words on a diagonal directly onto the card front to create a faux embossed background. The die cut peony and foam were adhered on top of the panel. A sprinkling of Glass Slippers Round Confetti added just the right amount sparkle.
