The Ton February Release

Hello and welcome!!! Today we are celebrating The Ton’s February Release with a blog hop!! We have 8 new stamp sets and one standalone alphabet die for this release! New release orders will begin shipping on 2/22.

I have a trio of cards to share with one of my favorite sets from this release, Peony Memories Cardmaking!!

This is a HUGE 9 x 12 set chock full of layering peonies, leaves and tons of sentiments!! The layering stamps are so easy to line up…there are registration rectangles for each layer, just line up the rectangles and the images line up perfectly!! Plus, the Coordinating Die cuts everything in one pass through your die-cut machine…GENIUS!!!! There is also a Scrapbooking Set available.

To start, I stamped the Peony Memories Cardmaking layers with several Couture Inks:

Next, I cut the stamped images with the Coordinating Die.

For the backgrounds, I blended the lightest and middle color of pink, purple and blue inks onto white cardstock with a blending brush. I diluted the darkest ink in each color family and splattered them onto the backgrounds with a paint brush, along with diluted white gouache. Once the panels were dry, I trimmed them slightly smaller than A2.

I played around with the floral arrangement and once I liked it, I popped it up with foam adhesive. I cut “hugs” using the Love & Hugs Word Plate Dies from coordinating cardstock and adhered them as shown. The rest of the sentiments are from Peony Memories Cardmaking. (There are so many sentiments included in this set, as well!!) They were white heat embossed onto coordinating cardstock, cut into strips and adhered with foam tape.

A sprinkling of Glass Slippers Round Confetti completes each card!!

I can’t wait to stamp these images in different colors and die-cut them so they are ready to add to cards as I need them!!

    The time saving that this amazing grouped stamped and die set affords is what I really love the most about it and I love how you coordinated the blended background with the main flowers on the top too! Looking forward to what you create next for the YouTube Hop on Friday.
