Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop – Trinity Stamps

Happy National Coffee Day!! I am participating in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop!! I have two cards to share with you today!!! Trinity Stamps has a couple of stamp sets & coordinating dies that are perfect for the coffee lover!!! You can find all of the other design team projects for Trinity Stamps here. Make sure to leave lots of love along the way, as there are prizes up for grabs!!!

The same design was used for both cards!! I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to do no-line coloring or not. So, I did both…LOL!! I wanted to make coffee stain rings for the background, but I don’t own a stamp like that. I decided to use a real coffee mug. I swiped some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink on my craft mat, sprayed it with water, “dipped” the bottom of my mug into the mixture and applied it directly to my cards. I was really pleased with how this turned out!! I also splattered some of the distress mix onto my background. The background panel was trimmed slightly, allowing for a pop of aqua on the left-hand side. I stamped the coffee mugs & hearts from Coffee With Character with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and Ink on 3’s no-line ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, they were cut using the coordinating Coffee With Character Dies. The sentiment, from Caffeinated Sentiments was heat embossed in white onto aqua & black cardstock strips. The mugs, hearts & sentiment strips were all popped up using dimensional adhesive. I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the coffee and hearts for a little shine and called it done!!

Here are a couple of close-up shots…

Which one do you prefer…the black outline or the no-line? I can’t decide…

Be sure to hop on over to the Trinity Stamps Blog to see what the rest of the design team created!!!

  1. I love the black outline with the black sentiment strip. I think it pairs nicely. I also love that brown “staining” you did! Such a great card! Thanks for hopping along with us! 🙂
