Christmas 2017 – Honey Bee

Hello crafty friends!! Welcome back to Honey Bee Tuesday!! This is my last Honey Bee post before Christmas, so I have a project to share to wish you a very Merry Christmas from my little family!!!

I created a snow globe, combining several stamp sets and dies!! Let’s get started, shall we? I started off by blending Alcohol Inks onto Yupo paper for the background of my shaker. Next, I stamped the snowpeople and accessories from Flakey Friends, puppies from Playful Pups and trees from More Flakey Friends, all with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored them with Copic markers. Then I used the Flakey Friends, Playful Pups and More Flakey Friends coordinating honey cut dies to die cut all the images. The Globe & Ornament Shaker Honey Cut Die was used to cut the background from the alcohol inked Yupo paper and a piece of acetate. The same die was used to cut the front of the ornament from silver glitter paper and six times from white cardstock. The white cardstock was stacked and adhered together, then the acetate was sandwiched between that and the silver glitter paper. The die-cut trees were embellished with Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops and sprinkled with glitter, before being adhered to the background paper. Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix & Snowball Shaker Bits were placed in the center to create the “shaker” before the acetate portion was attached. I cut the base of the globe from silver foil cardstock with the Globe & Ornament Shaker Honey Cut Die also, and adhered it to the bottom of the globe. Next, Christmas was die-cut using the Let It Snow Honey Cuts Die from red and white cardstock. The 2017 was white heat embossed onto a strip of red cardstock with the Simple Alpha set, then cut into a banner. All of the snowpeople, accessories, puppies and dies were adhered to the front of the globe as shown. Lastly, Black Nuvo Drops were added to the eyes, noses and buttons for a little shine. This represents my little family!! I’m going to glue some cording onto the back and hang this on our tree!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday from me, Doug, Bailey & Sidney!!!
