Buzzing By To Say Hello – Honey Bee

Hello everyone!! I hope your new year is off to a great start!! I am back for Honey Bee Tuesday with a new card. It seems that I am into ALL THE COLORS lately. I guess I grew tired of the Christmas colors and want to rainbow everything!!! I just recently got the Zen Floral set and couldn’t wait to make something with it!! Let’s get started!!I began by inking up the images from the Zen Floral set and a bee that I got as a “free bee” with a recent order with Versamark Ink. Next, I embossed the images with white embossing powder, before coloring them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. The Zen Floral Honey Cut dies and the “free bee’ dies were then used to cut out the coordinating images. One of the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle Honey Cut dies was used to cut a small rectangle from white cardstock to create a focal point in the center of my card base. I also cut a slightly larger rectangular mat from some pink polka dot paper. This was adhered onto a piece of fun foam, before mounting in the center of the card base. I used the top two layers of the Hello Honey Cut die to cut the sentiment from pink cardstock and the same polka dot paper I used for the mat around the rectangle. I stamped the “buzzing by to say” sentiment from the Bee-You-Tiful Sentiments stamp set onto a strip white cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink, then notched each end. The flowers were all adhered to the top left of the center rectangle, allowing a few of the flowers to hang over the edge. The sentiment banner and die cut, as well as the bee, were adhered with foam adhesive. Lastly, a splattering of Moonlight Rhinestone Mix gems add a little sparkle.

I love how this turned out!! I am not one for new year’s resolutions, but I am going to make an effort to send out more handmade cards.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great week!!
