Bee Happy – Honey Bee

Hello all!! Welcome back for another Honey Bee Tuesday!! I am so tired of this cold weather we are having…so I’m dreaming of spring!! And spring brings flowers…my fave!!

I started out by stamping all the images from Zen Floral several times with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Next, I colored them with Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush, before cutting with the Zen Floral Honey Cut Dies. One of the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle Honey Cut dies was used to cut the center from a notecard made with light blue cardstock. I also cut the center from another piece of the same blue cardstock so I could use it on the inside to sandwich a piece of acetate between it and the card base. Once I figured out the placement of all my elements, I stamped the “Bee Happy” sentiment from Be-You-Tiful Sentiments with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it in white on the inside of my card. I adhered all the floral elements around the frame of the card, using foam adhesive on some. I also placed a few of the flowers inside the card, so they peeked out from behind the frame. Two small bees from the Busy Bees set were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and clear heat embossed, before coloring with Zigs. Those were cut with the Busy Bees Honey Cut Dies and adhered directly onto the acetate. I used some Clear Iridescent Mix Sequins for a little shine.

I love how this turned out!! I hope I’ve brightened up your day a bit!! Have a great week!!!
