The Ton October 2020 Release

Hello and welcome to The Ton’s October Release Blog Hop!! There is 14 stand-alone dies and two stamp sets with coordinating dies releasing today!! If you arrived here from Olga’s Blog, you are on the right track!! I also have a complete list of stops and the end of this post!!

Let’s get to my projects!! I have two cards to share with you today!!

My first card features the previously released Grouped Fresh Dahlias stamp set with the new Cascade Bits and Coordinating Die. This stamp set is perfect for filling in those floral bouquets!!

I began by stamping the dahlias and leaves from the Fresh Dahlias stamp set with the following inks: Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink, Pink Derby, Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, Grape Crush, Peach Blossom, Coralline, Coral Cavern, Soft Garden and Bright Garden, then cut them out with the Coordinating Die. The Cascade Bits images were stamped with Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine and Deep Emerald, then cut out with that Coordinating Die.

For the background, I die-cut the A2 Grid Coverplate Die from kraft cardstock and adhered it to another panel of kraft cardstock. I splattered some diluted white gouache and black paint onto the background panel with a paintbrush.

I arranged the bouquet and adhered it to the panel with foam adhesive. The sentiment, from Easy Expressions Birthday, was stamped with Cosmopolitan Pink and Noir inks, die-cut with the Coordinating Die and adhered with liquid and foam adhesive.

My next card features one of my favorites from this release, the Fall Leaves Layered Dies!!

I inked up several panels of Yupo paper with alcohol inks and isopropyl alcohol. I added some gold leaf flakes to the sticky areas. I die-cut the alcohol-inked panels with the bottom layer of the Fall Leaves Layered Dies, Bold Alphas Lower Dies to spell “FALL” and the top layer of “happy” from the Many Sentiments (Holidays) Dies. I die-cut the top layer of the Fall Leaves Layered Dies, Bold Alpha Lower Dies and the bottom layer of “happy” using the Many Sentiments (Holiday) Dies from gold glitter cardstock.

I die-cut the background from black cardstock with the A2 Grid Coverplate Die and adhered it to another panel of black cardstock. I splattered on some gold metallic paint and attached the leaves down the centers only, allowing the edges to curl up. I tied a triple bow around the top of the panel with some metallic twine and called it done!

I love how this one turned out!! I wish I could capture the vibrancy of this in photos!!

OK, here’s the complete list of stops…

I’m the last stop on the hop, so if you started here you can start at the beginning of the hop on The Ton’s Blog.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!!
