Honey Bee Stamps – Autumn Afternoon Blog Hop

Hello and happy first day of fall!! Today, we are celebrating fall with the Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon Release and an inspiring blog hop!! Isn’t this release fabulous?!? You should have arrived here from Jenny Hall’s Blog. I have your next stop and a complete list at the bottom of this post. Be sure to comment along the way for your chance to win a $25 GC to the Honey Bee Shop!!

I have two cards to share with you today!! They use some of the same elements and layout, but by changing up the colors, flowers and greeting, the cards have a totally different look and feel!! Let’s get started!!

My first card features the stunning Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set

I stamped the images from the Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink for some no-line coloring. After coloring the images with Copics, I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I white heat embossed the Farmhouse Check Background Stamp onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I ink-blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks onto the panel. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a panel cut from white cardstock with the the largest die in the Scallop A2 Card Frames Die Set. I added a rectangle frame cut from gold glitter cardstock with the A2 Thin Frames Honey Cuts.

The sunflowers and leaves were popped up onto the background with foam adhesive. The sentiment was die-cut from gold glitter and white cardstock using the Autumn Buzzwords Honey Cuts. “Blessings” was gold heat embossed onto a white cardstock strip using the Autumn Stamp Set. I added some dots to the sunflowers with a yellow gel pen and called this one done!!

My second card features the beautiful Darling Dahlias Stamp Set

This was created the same as the first card, only with the Darling Dahlias Stamp Set and Coordinating Honey Cuts.

For this background, I ink-blended Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxides over the white heat embossed Farmhouse Check Background Stamp.

The sentiment was created with the Blessed Stamp Set and Blessed Honey Cuts.

OK…your next stop on the hop is Mindy Eggen. Here is a complete list of stops:

Don’t forget to comment at each stop along the way for your chance to win that $25 GC to the Honey Bee Shop!!

  1. Wow!!! They are all beautiful. But, the gift back was my favorite. Super cute idea and well put together. Love the colors. Thank you for sharing your cards.

  2. Your coloring on the sunflowers and dahlias is spot on and the ink blending on the backgrounds is a perfect match! I love how you incorporated the background stamp! Your other samples are also lovely — I love the piece of pie, I have to confess, it’s my favorite, and I am a sucker for the background stamps that create a whole card once colored in — yours is beautiful !
